MDF Beadboard Sheets

Beadboard is a type of solid wood paneling covered in a series of vertical grooves. It is made by cutting into a solid sheet of standard 4′ x 8′ MDF wood panelling.

This type of paneling style first appeared in the early 1800s and has become very popular in homes built today. Trim molding is usually run horizontally along the top of an installation of beadboard, creating a sharp dividing line between the beadboard wainscoting and the painted or papered wall above. Floor baseboard is also used traditionally when using beadboard to conceal the bottom of the beadboard and protect it from damage.

Can be treated with oil based wood stains or painted to any available color
It is equally strong across the entire surface of the 4ft by 8ft wall panel as a result of having no grain.
Can be used for covering a full 8ft tall wall or it can be applied to 1/2 a wall. Panels can be installed vertical or horizontally.
It can be used for covering a ceiling using full 4ft by 8ft sheets requiring only a few tools and a minimal amount of work.
The material is denser and heavier than plywood and therefore has a higher durability. It should be sealed to resist moisture.
Has a smooth, paintable surface that is uniform in strength but flexible. Can be used for curved walls or surfaces.
